Mado History

THE JOURNEY OF DISTINCT TASTE THROUGH HISTORY

The history of Dondurma

The roots of of Dondurma making in Anatolia (Türkiye) extends back to about 300 years as the Anatolian people used to mix grape molasses and fruit extract with clean ice collected from mountains in order to cool themselves in summer using this sweet mix that they used to call "Karsambac". With time, this sweet mix turned into ice cream made of natural materials and beaten manually using old and traditional methods inherited from generation to generation and this was the start of all what MADO is offering now.

MADO journey extends for more than six decades, since its start in 1962 as a small shop in the city of Kahramanmaras (Turkey), until it has now became a global chain of restaurants with reputation and outstanding quality in many countries of the world. The work continues to be carried out with the same care and preservation of the distinctive traditional taste of main courses, traditional sweets, ice cream, cold and hot drinks, as they were prepared and served throughout centuries. By using the finest fresh raw foodstuffs imported from their original sources while ensuring that they meet the requirements of Halal Food, then prepared by professional chefs and their assistants to be served to MADO valued guests at a level that exceeds their expectations, all in a conservative yet modern and beautiful environment and in a way that gives our valued guests a feeling of happiness and well-being.
